Apply for Certification

Choose your certification type below, complete the online form, and pay your annual dues in one step. Your application goes to the Association for review — we will email you once a decision is made.

Grower Certification

For farmers who grow Hatch Valley chile within the recognized growing region of New Mexico. Certification grants use of the Certified Hatch seal, voting membership in the Association, and directory listing eligibility.

Annual dues: $10 per acre of Hatch chile grown (minimum $250/year).
Examples: 5 acres = $250 | 30 acres = $300 | 100 acres = $1,000

Apply as a Grower

Processor Certification

For businesses that process certified Hatch chile product — including roasters, packers, and manufacturers. You will be asked to upload label artwork during the application.

Annual dues: $1 per ton of processed Hatch chile product (minimum $1,000/year).
Examples: 100 tons = $1,000 | 500 tons = $500 → capped at min $1,000 | 2,000 tons = $2,000

Reseller Certification

For third-party retailers, distributors, and other sellers of certified Hatch chile products who did not grow or process the chile themselves. Label artwork upload is required.

Annual dues (by annual volume):

1 – 9,999 lbs → $250/year
10,000 – 19,999 lbs → $500/year
20,000+ lbs → $1,000/year
